  1. It’s incredible how many different insect species can be found in your area; even a European peacock, which is my favourite butterfly. 🦚🦋

    1. We know that there are many more insects and invertebrates than we have been able to record so far – but they are mostly smaller and less accessible ones. If we really tried, I think we could double the number. Not the large and showy ones like the Lepidoptera which are seriously on the decline in the UK.

  2. Your list of species is already very impressive. Of course, you don’t have infinite time, but perhaps you can complete it step by step. 🐜🪲🔍

    Talking about Lepidoptera: They’re on serious decline here too. Our high-tech agricultural landscape doesn’t leave enough space for them (and many other animals and plants). It’s a shame. But you have proven that it’s possible to improve things by relatively easy means (and a lot of personal engagement, of course). 👏🤠
