I knew that there were foxes around. They have been seen in the village from time to time. I have also seen their footprints in the mud at the Nature Area. But last night was the first time that I had managed to capture some footage of a fox. It was sniffing around the edge of the pond near to the raft of starwort where most of the frogs and toads have been breeding and depositing spawn. It is also where I found some duck feathers yesterday morning. I spotted a pair of mallards by the water very early. They were very wary and looking around them all the time, and flew off immediately that they became aware of me. I guess the fox had been looking to dine out on frogs or ducks.

We have foxes around here too; I can hear them barking by night. 🦊 Now looking forward to viewing your footage of a badger. 🦡😄

I am keeping my fingers crossed for a badger sighting too. I think they do visit and there are many setts around the village.
