The Migrant Hawker dragonfly (Aeshna mixta) was a frequent visitor to our local nature area last year, and was most frequently seen some way from the old pond area, hunting for insects along one of the grassy pathways that we nickname Dragonfly Alley. It is 1 of 11 species of Odonata recorded so far at Charlton Down Nature Area.
