Only one Black-tailed Skimmer (Orthetrum cancellatum) has been spotted so far in Charlton Down Nature Area. This is the only rather poor shot I managed before it flew away. Very similar in general appearance to the Broad-bodied Chaser but with a narrower abdomen with a dark tip. Identity not a 100% certain. This species is one of eleven Odonata discovered at the site so far.
