The Robin’s Pin Cushion (also known as a Bedeguar gall) must be one of the most attractive galls on British plants. In this case the gall has resulted from a very small wasp (Diplolepis rosae) laying its eggs in a wild rose flower bud. It is one 15 types of gall created by different organisms that have been found in Charlton Down Nature Area in Dorset to date.
