Ashy Mining Bee

2024 is the first time I have seen an Ashy Mining Bee (Andrena cineraria) in Charlton Down Nature Area. I saw one resting on a leaf on 3 May 2024 at 1427, and also one feeding on the white flowers of native hogweed mid afternoon on on 25 May 2024. This species is one of 27 bee and wasp species (Hymenoptera) that have been recorded there so far.
